Which software should I use to allow visitors to upload files of any filetype at my website?

I intend to create a login area at my websites and from there registered users should be able to upload any filetype (.sdlxliff, .sdlproj etc.) of large sizes. I wonder if this is possible at all with Docman or if Docman is for document filetypes only?

I would recommend Docman as a very good tool allow users to upload content on Joomla and it supports all the file type restrictions about Docman. However, for the specific file types you mentioned i will recommend you setup docman and test those specific files.

Extra info: If you also want to use wordpress platform, there is this plugin called Buddypress this also gives your users a similar file upload feature with social interaction add ons.
