Dear Expert,

I would like to install VMWare ViClient 4.0. on Windows XP SP 3, but when I execute the installer there are no response when I check the event viewer log, I found this:

"The scan of D:\Documents and Settings\xxxx\Desktop\VMware-viclient-all-4.0.0-208111.exe has taken too long to complete and is being canceled.  Scan engine version used is 5400.1158 DAT version 6461.0000."

Is there anyone can resolve my problem?

I experienced this on a project that I was working on.....the problem for me was that I was trying to run the installer across the network. Make sure you have the VI client installation file/s local. If the installation takes forever, try to log into the local administrator account and then try to run the installer.
