How SP 2010 handle differently the versions 2007 and 2010 of .xlsx files or just it treat them identically. I am planning to migrate file share drive which has excel files in 2007, so wondering about excel 2007, what will be the behaviour in Sharepoint 2010

There is no difference between an .XLSX file created in Excel 2007 or 2010.  They are the same file format.
