Hi all,
I have a very very simple (stupid) question:

I have a CX3-20 with one hotspare raid group containing one disk.
I have another 2 free disks (they will not be used for the next 6 months) and I wish to dedicate one of this 2 disks in hotspare function (I preffer to configure it in second hotspare function rather than keep it unbounded for 6 months).

To do this I have to create another hotspare raid group or I have to add the disk to the existing hotspare raid group?

Thank you all in advance.

You create a RAID group with the single drive in it and you select Hot Spare as the RAID type. Done! The array won't let you add another disk to an existing hot spare RAID group.
