Complex queries through WCF

hi @ll,

I have some questions about passing data through a WCF, i really appreciate if someone can help me with this

how can i pass a lot amount of data? ie. a list with 1 millon of serialized objects with the best performance (i thought some thing like: convert to binary, Json or base64) trying to avoid all the xml "garbage" produced by the tags.

If there any security issue in returning long strings?

Which hardware specs are associated with the WCF restrictions (server ram memory, hard drive, network addapter,...) in passing a big amount of data.

I hope I could explain myself crearly

thx!

Not a good idea to do, but if you have to, here's some thoughts:

Streaming is the way to go.  If you could convert to binary and then decipher it back to text, it sounds like that would be the fastest.
