Hello,

I am running Outlook 2007. Sometimes, people send me unzipped PST files as message attachments and Outlook blocks them. How can I tell Outlook to allow me to extract these attachments or any attachment I want?

Thank you,
John

Please have a read of the following, tweak your registry and then you should be able to access .PST files (although I would not recommend it is kept that way).

This is what I needed and I can now download PST file attachments from Outlook. I also used Transend Migrator from www.transend.com to extract the attachments before applying the registry fix.

Note: the registry path example is not correct, but the path listed in the Graphic is correct. My Outlook is 2007 so here is the correct registry path:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Outlook\Security
