slideshow hover not working properly

The text link on my slideshow are supposed to turn to red when hovered over.  This is working intermittenly.  It was working when I had four, but when I doubled it to 8 it doesn't always work.  Is there something I should be putting in my reset file?  Any ideas what is causeing this?

Change the color on:  #featured li.ui-tabs-nav-item a  to red instead of #333333
