slideshow text link hover color not working

I emailed this problem to you earlier, and you told me to change one of the colors to either red or #333333, and your suggestion worked...for a while.  Same problem is accurring, but I didn't change either the code or the CSS.  What's strange is it will work in IE7 but not in IE8.  I haven't checked the other browsers yet.  

When the rotator starts all the links below the featured one is working with the hover, however, as it goes past the links, then links stop working.

Step-by-step guide:
1. #featured ul.ui-tabs-nav {... margin:0; ...} *bold as it should be
2. #featured li.ui-tabs-nav-item a {... height:auto; ...} *bold as it should be or removed
3. remove each inline styling with "top" rule of <li>, for example: <li style="top:-100px" id="nav-fragment-1" class="ui-tabs-nav-item right-menu ui-tabs-selected"><a href="#fragment-1"> *bold should be removed
