Is there an easy way to create an excel spreadsheet importer to load data into a sql database in visual studio 2010?

I've always had good luck keeping it simple and importing directly using T-SQL
SELECT * INTO tblXLImport FROM OPENROWSET('Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0',
'Excel 8.0;Database=C:\test\xltest.xls', 'SELECT * FROM [Customers$]')
