SBS %windir%\temp permissions

We have a sbs 2008 server that is deployed that the %windir%\temp folder keeps losing the assigned permissions.  We start to get errors with wsus, sbs console, sharepiont and have to go back and add network service, administrator, system access.  It will work for a while then disappear agian and everything breaks.  Does anyone know what could be causing the permissions to dissapear.

Is the folder getting deleted? Check the creation time stamp.

Looks like its possible.  The created date is sept 3 2011.  I don't have any RMM tools or automated maint scripts running on this server though.

Well it seems something is doing it. I'd recommend enabling auditing on the folder. That way you should at least get a clue as to what is causing this issue. Check out this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/301640. It's written for 2000 but it's the same with current OSes.

It deleted the folder again.  I am turning auditing on today while I am onsite.
