Wordpress/Buddy Press Install, Problem: Comments are closed to everyone except Admin.

I have a site all good to go but the only person that can comment on post are admins. Default member registration was set to subscriber, I changed that to member and changed my test user to member but still cannot comment on blog post. Web site is lascruces-weightloss.com blog section is under Blogs>ODC blog. Here are my screen shots of my discussion settings. I have been trying different settings but to no avail.  I cannot for the life of me figure out why comments are staying closed to anyone but admin

Check the post settings to make sure the individual posts are allowing comments...

Check the theme files to make sure it's not something weird hard-coded into the theme...

Disable all plugins (except BP) and test again...
