How do you want to take payments?  I assume you have code that builds a shopping cart and then you send the buyer to the PayPal web site with a total amount due, they login and make their payment.  After that they are redirected back to your site with a "thank you for ordering message."

I have implemented this using PayPal IPN.  Net of it all is that you have to build a POST request and send it to PayPal.  PayPal gets this and presents the paypal screen to your user.  After they are done making the payment it redirects to your confirmation screen.

As a parallel process, PayPal will send you a POST request that you need an IPN handler to receive and process.  This will confirm payment and let you know that the payment was good.

There is sample code on the paypal site for the IPN handler as well as some direction on how to implement IPN in your cart.

I do all my work in php so I have no .NET code to share with you.

Hope that helps get you started.  There are other ways to do it in PayPal.  The above links may be useful.
