Windows Server 2008 with VPN Active stops incoming emails

I have recently configured VPN on my 2008 Server, which also runs MS Exchange 2008.  Exchange works fine when the VPN isnot connected.  When the VPN is connected, the VPN works well and can remotely access exchange, as well as other servers and folders on the network.

However, when the VPN is active, no emails can come into exchange.  As soon as the VPN connection is disconnected, emails start coming in again.

I am really stuck on this, so any help would be appreciated.

do you use "gateway on the remote computer" VPN option?

from the VPN connection properties --> networking --> ipv4--> advance. uncheck that checkbox.

Hi Suliman

Great answer, I'd looked everywhere else, never thought of that.  That has sorted it.

Thanks
