Steps to setup Request Form in Sharepoint
I'm somewhat new to infopath and sharepoint 2010 and my goal is to have a user request form created in Infopath, have that form template be available within Sharepoint for people to fill out, and then automatically create a task to fulfill that request. Is that at all possible? If it can't automatically create a task, I'd like it to at least be put somewhere with notification that it has been created. Thanks!

Thanks. I haven't found a clear way of automatically populating a due date. I would like the due date to automatically be 3 days after the start date. Do you know how to go about making that happen?

1) Create and publish info path form:

2) Create a task once item is added in list.
There several ways to accomplish this - e.g. use event receiver or workflow. If you're not a developer then I guess the best way is to create a workflow, that will be started on item creation, using SharePoint designer.
