Hello,

My coworker asked me help her to find a file. The shortcut is
\\2222-sun\orderdb$\Cre.xlsx

\\2222-sun\ is a windows 2008 server, however I could not find this file on the server.
Why?

the file has either been moved or deleted. Have you tried a search for the file on the server?

I don't know. Is it possible the file was saved in the local machine but the shortcut unchanged?

Never heard of that before.  If you change the view options for folder and select show hidden files is that file in the location on the server just greyed out?
