What does it mean to be "Always On"?

Is your cloud always on? With an Always On cloud you won't have to worry about downtime for maintenance or software application code updates, ensuring that your bottom line isn't affected.

Why do you want to migrate your database to SharePoint?  Although SharePoint can mimic a "database" to some degree it is not the best experience. So what is the compelling reason why you want to do this?  SharePoint lists ARE NOT equivalent to database tables.
