exchange 2003 resource duplication

I'm still using exchange 2003 and outlook 2003. I've created resource users to represent meeting rooms.

when somebody sets up a meeting request and adds people to the required field and the meeting room user to the resource field and sends the request it will create one meeting on the users calendar but for some reason it makes two meetings for the same time on the resources calendar.

Anybody ever run across this?

I think you should check user's mailbox for corruption use mfcmapi.exe to check and fix corruption.

If you are not sure with mfcmapi.exe, move the user's mailbox to other database. This will fix the issue.
