Hi, I have a gateway laptop, MT 3423 and I believe it has a problem with the CPU. The cpu is is an AMD Turion TMDTL52HAXSCT. Also says "AMD Turion 64 X2".

I was wondering if I can purchase TMDTL50HAX4CT if that one will work with the system? That one also says "AMD Turion 64 X2".

Also as a general question I was wondering if all ""AMD Turion 64 X2" chips are compatible?

Turion 64 X2 cpus are compatible with each other - they are designed for the S1 socket: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/TYPE-Turion%2064%20X2%20Mobile%20technology.html  You can substitute the TL50 for your TL52; they just have different cache sizes.
