Seeking a cross-browser-friendly jQuery slide show

I would like a jQuery slide show for my website, and I have not found a solution which is completely satisfactory.  The image size is 1000px x 600px, and I would like the slide show to feature very smooth, fading transitions in all major browsers.  It also needs to load quickly and be resizeable to fit the browser window.  I've tested dozens of slide shows, and haven't found one which performs equally well in IE, Firefox and Safari.
