Critical event logged in SBS 2008 from process mmc.exe (EMC) looking for a foreign domain controller - New thread

In 2009 n-boost asked:
Hello all -
I have seen this error (event id 2130) a couple of times now and am concerned from a security standpoint.  Does anyone know why I would be receiving this error, which references a foreign domain?  In addition, how can I prevent it from happening in the future?  I have not configured multiple domains and have never heard of domain cougar.internal.

Been running sbs 2008 for a while and have not encountered such thing yet.
Take a look at here if this helps

Check the events before and after this event. Possibly somthing may be triggering it

The link he provided is broken and the thread gives no more indication to the cause :-(

Thanks for any help.

what is the current status of the AD-servers and its scores?
Check the event-ID: 2080's values to start troubleshooting
Then might need to run "netdiag"?
