In 2009 n-boost asked:
Hello all -
I have seen this error (event id 2130) a couple of times now and am concerned from a security standpoint.  Does anyone know why I would be receiving this error, which references a foreign domain?  In addition, how can I prevent it from happening in the future?  I have not configured multiple domains and have never heard of domain cougar.internal.

MSExchange ADAccess      2130      9/13/2009 8:48:01 PM      1
Event Details:
Process mmc.exe (EMC) (PID=9832). Exchange Active Directory Provider could not find an available domain controller in domain COUGAR.internal. This event may be caused by network connectivity issues or configured incorrectly DNS server. This event may also occur if you have not configured correctly your multiple Active Directory sites.

Been running sbs 2008 for a while and have not encountered such thing yet.
Take a look at here if this helps

Check the events before and after this event. Possibly somthing may be triggering it

The link he provided is broken and the thread gives no more indication to the cause :-(

Thanks for any help.

what is the current status of the AD-servers and its scores?
Check the event-ID: 2080's values to start troubleshooting
Then might need to run "netdiag"?
