WIRELESS ROUTER, EXTENDER

I  have wireless router model , MI-424-WR (g)in my home through verizon  , i bought hawking 300N extender so that my laptop

can stream movies, unfortunately after putting extender in between router and laptop(windows 7)

buffer takes long time, i contacted hawking and they told it is not compatible with action tec.

though on router it says excellent signal but my laptop buffers a lot.and without extender laptop plays well.

can u recommend a good extender
