In Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 how can I remove duplicate pictures?

These duplicate pictures have slightly different file names than the original pictures.

How can I remove duplicate pictures so that only one copy of a single picture exists?

prafullamjn,

what do you mean by "Just go to the particular layer and delete and check it?"

I'm trying to find a completely automated way of doing this since a user has over 110,000 pictures in their Adobe catalog and half o them are duplicates.

I need to find a way of doing this automatically instead of doing it manually.
