Hello,

I have printer HP Photosmart C4383.

It has wifi, I can print without wire connect.

if it is close. and I want to print. I have to restart my laptop then to connect with the Printer.

Is there other way? or I have to open the printer every time before laptop. but I don't want because not every time I use it.

I am using Windows 7 , HP laptop Pavilion dv6.

Thanks :)

I'm not sure what you mean with "open the printer every time before laptop"?

Hello Rindi,

When I want to let the printer works, I have to open the printer first, then open my laptop. So it will be connected with my laptop by wifi.

I still don't understand what you mean with "opening" the printer. Do you have to open the printing cartridge compartment, or the scanner surface or what? Or with "opening", do you really mean you have to turn it on?

OK, I understand now. How is your network setup, is there a wireless Access Point or Router? Or is the PC only connecting to the printer and nothing else via wireless? Is the Printer's Wireless Interface setup to use a static or a dynamic IP Address?
