I'm really not sure if it still applies to Exch 2007 and 2010.<br />

But I don't see any point of moving mailboxes over night while in Exchange 2007 SP2 and Exch 2010 can be moved online - while the users are logged into them. At the end of the move process the will get only a notice that they need to restart outlook.

With Exchange 2003, I recall that it was always recommended to NEVER carry out mailbox moves whilst backups were running and this could exhaust the checkpoint depth.<br />
