Mbx moves/Backups
With Exchange 2003, I recall that it was always recommended to NEVER carry out mailbox moves whilst backups were running and this could exhaust the checkpoint depth.

Does anyone know if this still applies to Exchange 2007 and 2010?
I need to move some mailboxes from one server to another. In terms of transaction log drive space we are fine, so I was thinking of running these overnight whilst the backups were running, but wasn't sure.
Could someone advise?

But I don't see any point of moving mailboxes over night while in Exchange 2007 SP2 and Exch 2010 can be moved online - while the users are logged into them. At the end of the move process the will get only a notice that they need to restart outlook.
