I have SBS 2008 R2. I seen some instructions where NIC drivers can be added using the WDS GUI. I do not have that option, I have seen references to WDS ver. 2. I have version 1. I cannot find any information about upgrading, installing or having Windows Update install version 2.

My question is, Does a version 2 exist? Can that be put on SBS? How is the update accomplished?

Like IIS, WDS is tied to the version of Windows Server you are running - in your case, Server 2008 (non-R2).  The ability to inject drivers is available in WDS included with Server 2008 R2 (which is what SBS 2011 runs on).

I suspected that WDS could not be upgraded, I needed confirmation. Thank you for the prompt reply
