Well,

I am using MVC 3 and using that I tried to create my Model from existing databse. I was expecting that Once I create model adn start my CRUD operations from the Controller then It would map itslef to the database and then I would basically see the reflection of the changes back in the databse.

Well, unfortunately it is not hppening. Instead, what is happening is that EDMX is maintaining it's own Model. I am attaching screenshot for your reference.

whatever data that I insert is not going to my original database now. I think it is going to this EDMX model. Can somebody please throw light on this?

Can paste your CRUD code as well? Are you calling SaveChanges() method?

Well, I am sorry for all the confusion, it turned out that the whole problem started because I did not name my Connection string same as the DB Context file. Had I done that, none of these things could had happened. Anyyways, the pronlem is resolved.

Thank you so much for your help:).
