I want to search unwanted software on all the workstations of my network. and stop/uninstall unathorosed software. is there any utility for the same.

It has software inventory module, sou you can at least get a list of installed software.

But be sure to set right permissions to users on computers, so they can not install unwanted software...

Have a look at OCS inventory NG - it is open source and free of charge. You have to run an agent on all workstations. You get a database filled with scan of all software (and also hardware) installed. There is also a "distribution" function, but I've no experiances on this.
