Email grabber PHP library

I'm looking for an open source PHP library for grabbing emails from different accounts (gmail, msn, ...).

The library should at least provide an abstraction layer to user-credentials/login to the accounts, and to grab most relevant information for the email messages (e.g. subject, sender, recipient, status[read/new], ...).

I found a similar project, but for contacts:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/contactgrabber/

Thank you in advance

I know GMail supports POP3. I don't use MSN, but Googling shows that there is support there.

So, as POP3 is a standard, pretty much any POP3 reader class will do.

Having got access to the mail repository, reading the message content is another thing entirely. All POP3 is is a store. The mail may be encoded in many different ways, but, unless you've got a weird setup, MIME encoding should prevail.

So, you'll need POP3 and MIME.

Here is a script I created for reading unread email from a POP3 store, extracting the attachments and saving elsewhere and then firing an email saying what has happened.
