Can someone please explain what steps I need to take when integrating a Linux server using LDAP in Active Directory 2008?
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thank you.

But this was a little more cryptic than the other links you sent.
Is there a more clear and concise explanation for newbies?

If you are using a Red Hat like system (CentOS, Oracle Linux, etc) you can execute system-config-authentication as root and configure Winbind on both User Information and Authenication.

This will help you join to the domain and provide the connection to use domain users on the linux system.
