I have an Exchange 2007 Mail Enabled Universal Distribution Group that has:<br />

Alias: MarketingUK<br />
Email Address: marketing.uk@domain.com<br />
<br />
Basically, outside contacts email this address and then it then goes to the whole Marketing department.<br />
<br />
The Marketing manager has now decided that he wants his team to be known as Marketing EMEA, instead of Marketing UK. We need to change the DL address to reflect that, but at the same time previous contacts' emails should not be bounced.<br />
<br />
Is there any reason why I can't add Marketing.EMEA@domain.com as a secondary SMTP address on the DL? What I'm confused about is:<br />
<br />
i. What to do about the Alias<br />
ii. What point does a Primary SMTP address have on a DL? <br />
