Flash Buttons and ActionScript

Hello,

I am teaching myself Flash and have a little project going.

First, the flash movie plays a few words that fade in and then out.

Now I want to create thumbnails of 3 movie clips that play the movie when you click it.  No movie controls, just it plays.

Do I put the buttons in and tell them to just jump to a frame?  Or do I create seperate scenes for each movie and link the buttons to the scene?  What about when the movie clip is done playing?  Is there a way to send it back to the frame here the buttons are?

Many thanks for any help!  :)

Hi Hydrazi!

You put the buttons/movieclips on the scene, and add the relevant click code. You have mainly two options when it comes to video:

1. You can load it in externally (hard if you're an actionscript novice)
2. You can embed it into your flash
3. Use Flash video component, remove the skin and just tell it to play when you press the button.

Here are a few links about these different options, I didn't know what language you're using(AS2 or AS3) so I'm just linking to AS2:
