Block Editor does not open in AutoCad 2012

There is a certain block in an Autocad 2012 file where the block editor does not open for this block.  The block editor for this drawing does open for other blocks.  When the block editor does not open, the drawing in the space model disappears as well.

I am running AutoCad 2012 on Windows XP SP 3.

Any help on this issue is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

you could try using the Reference Editor to edit certain aspects of the Block Reference. Keyin the command: REFEDIT; then select either certain parts of the block reference you wish to change or you can it select all the nested objects automatically. Once your done editing the object you can either click the close button or run the command: REFCLOSE
