Media Display Interface Software for XP

Is there any software out there that you can run on top of XP to make it more like a TV/Media type of experience with BIG BLOCK PANEL icons for what's on the desktop or in the programs list? I am hooking up a computer to a 40in TV and need the icons and words to be big and blocky like a user interface on the TV or Media Center so they can big accessed with the arrow keys on a keybord. Thanks

Hi, not my knowledge, but your question needs a bit more details
there is several ways to run your desktop to the TV however what you see on your TV is only a reflection of your desktop. Either through clone mode or dula monitors or media center
in refs to>>so they can be accessed with the arrow keys on a keybord.<<
If I understand you did you just want to  have the dispplay from your desktop to the TV to be really large?
So that you can see what your doing on the desktop on the tV?

Thanks, to clarify this is not a question of how to get a display on a TV. Forget that entirely. The TV is a monitor with vga plugin. This is a question of interface display overlay, to mimic the ease and look of dvrs, media centers, or any type of tv interface that can be just ran on top of xp.

Indeed that is entriely different,
ZionTech1 probably a media player would be the only option and run your secondary monitor in full screen, that way whatever is on your current desktop can stay pretty small but full screen on the secondary.
Most media players have changable skins I like Winamp the best
You can install windows media center on the XP I believe if it doesnt currently have it
and then customize it like this
Media Center PC Interface

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Media_Center
My Movies plug-in for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005
http://www.engadget.com/2004/11/29/my-movies-plug-in-for-windows-xp-media-center-edition-2005/
Winamp can be set to double size a well.
The interface is made up of the  Main Window where you see the play stop rewind etc the equalizer  playlist editor  and media  library, these are all separate bits and can be hidden.
The skin I use is called Vista Vision
The only problem with Winamp is the video formats
it doesnt support a large range
you can even write your own skin if your savy
http://dev.winamp.com/skin-developers
http://www.winamp.com/

VLC is customisable and supports all video types
Is also programmable.
Other ideas for you

Object dock is a customizable desktop themes
