HTC evo after re-setup won't receive text messages
My phone kept rebooting itself, so I took it to Sprint and they did some hard boot re-set I guess. All is well except that it is not receiving text messages.
Don't know if something got unset somewhere.
I use Advanced Task Killer, but have uninstalled.
Some one said send "allow all" to 9999, which I did.
Of course have re-started many times.
I also use a 3rd party text app called Chomp, but didn't add until I was already having trouble with Messages, hoping it might turn on the proper service or whatever.
thanks

Have you gone to settings -> about phone -> system updates -> and then done "update profile" and "update PRL"?
ASKER
not both, and neither since unistalling task killer. will do now.
ASKER
ok, updated both, profile failed at first, then prl succeeded, and profile succeeded then on 2nd try. I re-started and sent myself a text from my pc, and also tried to verify my McAfee virus, which uses my phone number and sms to do so.
But no luck, no messages, no verification.

ok thanks . Just find their support line you think? Or do you know a better way to reach them?
Phone or email? I've looked around their support cite and it isn't real obvious.
But I'll find it. Thanks for your efforts, though.
