Hello, I haven an L2TP vpn setup on my mac to connect back to the office, when I use the same configuration settings in windows it wont work ! I think my problem may be with the authentication settings, the mac I just have it set to use our preshared key and a password, in windows it wants to use CHAP or other types of authentication, how do I tell it to just do basic authentication ?

you could use the detailed guide here as a reference. https://www.publicvpn.com/support/WindowsXP.php
it shows how to configure publicvpn - but you can co-relate this to your setup.
