Internal IBM Tape Drive

I have a IBM LTO3 400/800GB SAS HH INTERNAL TAPE DRIVE 23R7036 which I have installed on a IBM X3200 M3 Server.  For some reason it won't recognise the tape drive. I have cross checked the cables etc. Its all OK.

That tape drive is the newer model of supported drives listed for the X3200 M3 ( http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/xbc/cog/x3200m3_7327/x3200m3_7327to.html ) so the odds are the SAS port needs to be enabled in the BIOS or you need to install the tape drive's drivers.
