I figured it out....<br />
I opened the document in read only, then it showed an edit button above the spreadsheet , when I clicked on it, it showed the user who has the document opened.<br />
I called the user he closed the document and I managed to open it in edit mode.

I have opened excel spreadsheet worked on it and closed it. today I tried to open it and it gave me a message that it is going to open as Read only document even when I select Edit.<br />
Though in the Sharepoint column[Modified], I can see my name there.<br />
<br />
Any idea on how to fix this, and be able to open the document as &quot;Edit&quot; and not read only?<br />
