Sonicwall TZ180W possible firmware problem

I have a Sonicwall TZ180W that has been giving me some intermittent problems recently but has been getting worse.  The "wrench" LED light is a solid amber.  When I boot the device into safemode, I have the option of booting the current firmware or the firmware with factory defaults.
Whenever I boot any of these options the device never comes back.  Any ideas?

Just another note.  The Sonicwall stays in safe mode for about 2 minutes or so (wrench light blinking once every second) then I lose connectivity and wrnech light goes solid.  SW version is SonicOS Standard

It sounds as if the firmware has become corrupted. Have you tried downloading a fresh copy and upload it from the safemode menus?

I haven't tried that yet.  I would still need to configure the device from scratch if that is the case right?

If u do not have a backup copy of the ssetting you will. It is recommended to update with factory defaults to clear firmware related issues.

I couldn't upload the new firmware so I called Sonicwall and they gave me an RMA.  Thanks for your help.
