If you have a valid Support and Subscription Service, you will be eligible to upgrade.

You should have received your licenses and support agreements to a name contact and email address at the time of purchase.

A password would have been supplied with you to login at the time to VMware, where you can check and manage your Licenses and Support Contracts.

You will also find there, you new Licenses for vSphere 5.0 (ESXi 5.0).

I would login to the VMware site, if you do not have your login details, I would speak to your Reseller or Distributor for the details.

Please let me know where i will have limitations for this essential plus

2.How much processor will essential plus be able to use on each server
3. any other limitations on the utlization of server resources
Iam only afraid is recently upgraded server ram to 48 GB on each server

with ESXi 5.0, there are no more limits on Cores on the processors, as there was with ESXi 4.x. You can use as many cores on the processors as you like, vSphere 4.0 was limited to 6 or 12 depending upon licensing, there are no limits on the number of cores.

BUT, ESXi 5.0 now does have a vRAM limit.

vRAM pooling is a new feature introduced in vSphere 5.0 vRAM is the total memory configured to a virtual machine and is completely independent of the physical RAM you install in an ESXi host.

Note: The vRAM feature is only applicable for vSphere 5.0 hosts. vRAM does not apply to vSphere 4.x hosts.

Your vRAM entitlement for ESXi 5.0 Essentials Plus is 32GB.

See here
http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2000935

What this means, is if you have virtual machines that exceed 32GB of vRAM, you would be better off with ESXi 4.1 U1.

Sir, Thank you very much few doubts please help.
1.Can i install the ESXi5 on 3 hosts.
2. I could understand not limitations with the processors
3. having two servers of each server with 48GB. i think i need not remove the physical ram to make it 32 GB instead limitation is with the Vram capacity is limited to 32GB and should not be exceeded.
4.In my case i will be required to run 6VM on each server in that one VM will be alloacted 10Gb and reamining 4 vms of 8GB.

request you to please help me int he above 4 doubts. Thanks in advance.

1. yes - The Essentials Kits are all-in-one solutions for small environments
(up to three hosts with two CPUs each).

see here
http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/vsphere_pricing.pdf

2. There are no limitations with Cores, you can use ESXi 5.0 on your servers, 2 CPU each.

3. No requirement to remove the ram. You will not be able to exceed a total of 32GB allocated to Virtual Machines. See here
http://kb.vmware.com/kb/2000935

4. You TOTAL VM vRAM limit per server is 32GB, as long as the total amount allocated to VMs does not exceed 32GB, you will be okay.
