I have installed lync 2010 (without the edge role) and merged with OCS 2007 R2. I am having the issues below;
1. Calls placed (using Polycom CX600 phones and lync clients) always fail the first time
2. Video calls fails most of the time
3. Recently, the lync clients now show limited external calling.
1. Restart all OCS services or boxes and retest. (Ran into this before)
2. Run the best practice analyzer.
3. What happens when you go intot he dial plan/routing and enter in test calls?
4. If running voice, the monitoring/CDR server would be the first stop, so please consider installing this role if not installed. Will also provide info on video calls as well.
5. Video calls might be a port issue, that you should use the client side logging or install wireshark.
