Hi,

I already have my web site working and I want to add a video browser, so pleople can select any video and play it. Also, if possible, I would like to have statistics like which video is the most played. Videos are going to be at my web site. My web hosting is under linux.

Thanks,

Is your PHP website just custom PHP or is it a app such as wordpress, joomla, etc...? Because if its one of those I would say go with a specific addon/plugin that flows with your site and your needs.

If its custom PHP then you can just get a boxed solution that does not integrate and just make a link to it. There is a good list at: http://best-php-scripts.com/video_sharing_scripts.htm

Another way to do this that I've done before on a website is to create a youtube channel for you website and upload/host your videos on youtube. You can then embed the youtube channel if yours directly in your website (tutorial how to do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NdH7Ct9po4). That way your website can get traffic from people viewing your videos on YouTube and the load of playing and hosting the videos is on youtube vs. your hosting account (or server).

Lastly, if the tutorial video I posted sucks just google or search on youtube for "How to embed a youtube channel in a website". Then find one that makes sense to you and follow it.
