Printers not autocreated?

I've always used streamed apps in the past, and printing config couldn't be easier.  However, I have an app I need to publish, and for whatever reason printers are not being auto-created in the session per the default policy.  I assume this has to do with the difference between our clients and server drivers - Win7 x86 and 2008R2 (XA 6.5).  can someone recommend a place to start?  Citrix eDocs aren't very clear on troubleshooting, and it's difficult to find info on 6.5 at this point.

i would suggest to enable and use the universal printer driver.
you can enabe this within the citrix user-policy.
use as few as possible the native printer-drivers. some of this drivers reduce system stability.

my preffered policys are:
-  dont install native printer drivers
- use universal printer-driver if no native driver is available

I found it - for whatever reason, the Citrix Print Manager Service was not started (although it is set to Automatic).

Thanks!
