Missing Word 2007 datasource

All of a sudden we are getting the error message below when opening a particular Word document:
 Word 2007 Error MessageClicking the button allows us to search for the source... how would we know where to start searching?  We inherited this from someone.  The datasource (database) could be anywhere?

Hello, can you close the 'Find data source' windows and continue in the documet? If so sounds like you need to go to 'Mailings' on the ribbon and go to the mailing wizard or start mailing wizard and remove the data source.

Cannot do that... keep getting errors and finally it dies.

Do you have any information about this document, such as old merge docs made from it?  It may need to be recreated if you can't find the data source, or open the merge document.

Figured out the situation...  

For some reason I'd get the error if I used the MRU shortcut... If I navigate to the doc and open it works.
