hi guys,

my company is soon launching with a new website. However, we want to know what it looks like by people accessing it from a different country? this is so that when somebody accesses it from a different country, the website can automatically detect certain settings (such as the default currency the site should set itself to) and apply those according to the country.

At the moment, our website is IP restricted so we have to give the hosting provider the IP address it is being accessed from and it will permit the viewing.

Is there a way of doing this guys?

Thanks
Yashy

Yes. You can use a proxy in another country. After connection to the proxy, go to whatismyip.com to get the ip and then allow it.
You can also setup a server in another country. Backspace cloud is very inexpensive and they can put the server wherever you want. them remote desktop into the server, and use the browser on it to view your site.

Thanks chaps. Do I just obtain the IP address details and then make amendments on firefox or IE etc by entering proxy details in there?

Exactly:
Pick a proxy. get the ip
Put the ip in ie
Go to whatismyip.com to verify
Allow that ip on your website
View your website

You could also use a password instead of ip restrictions during testing. It's gonna be a pain to allow all the different individual ips if you have to ask each time.
