office 2010
I have an access file created in MS Access 2003 .mdb, i recently removed MS Office 2003 and installed MS Office 2010 which now will not recognize the 2003 .mdb file. When i do open the file in MS Access 2010 i just get a blank screen. I right click the file and tried to default it to MS access 2010 but it would not allow me the option to use access 2010. How can i convert the file to 2010 so i can open the data based file correctly. The file is an address list 2000 names deep just to give you level of stress. Can anyone help me.
try re-registering the DLLs found here: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/accessdev/thread/058032c0-5cb5-4869-ac43-b862c8e7f0d0/
Opening a database with the access runtime will give you just a blank gray screen if the the database does not have any navigation, autoeexc macro, and/or a start up form defined.
Did you install the full/retail (paid) version of Access 2010 or the Access 2010 runtime?

What version of Office did you install?
Was it the Pro or higher that included the full/retail version of Access?
