Office 2010 Freezing

Outlook is constantly freezing when either plugged into the domain with a LAN line or working offline, while offline mode cached is turned on. Only happening on one of our laptops within the company. Laptop is dual core and 4 GB of RAM. When user tries to send emails they will appear in his outbox but never be sent out, then outlook will hang and freeze. The user then looses all outgoing emails that were in the outbox and they never get sent out. Any thoughts?

Yes we have tried two different laptops.

Just curious why it would be the antivirus software on this machine ONLY and not other machines with the same Outlook and antivirus???

You say that you tried 2 different laptops, but what was the result?  Did it work on the other laptop with the same user?

Did you try on the same laptop but with a) a different user and b) a recreated profile for the same user?

It's unlikely that it's the antivirus if the same version and settings are used elsewhere without a problem, but it's always a possibility (corrupt installation, different settings, etc).  That's whay it was my 3rd possibility listed.

It seems it had to do with a specific email the user was opening, something was imbedded in it that locked up outlook each time. Thanks for the help!
