ASA5510 - Spam Filtering
We're finally getting an exchange server. I need to get a spam filtering solution but I also need a new router/firewall. Would the ASA5510 act as both?
Or would I need to get a barracuda box to go with it?
Thanks,
JOe K.

The ASA won't, on its own, do SPAM filtering. For that you'd need Cisco's IronPort E-mail Security Appliance.

How would this module interface with exchange?

It does not - it sits in front of Exchange and screens email traffic (and www, ftp, and pop).

Correct, for exchange this would be transparent.

Would this be an effective hardware solution to offload the spam filtering of exchange or should I look into mail-foundry, barracuda or sonicwall?
