Steps to attach documents to email in sharepoint2010

Hi All,
The requirement is to mail documents as attachment to a email from sharepoint 2010 library.


Please guide me with how this can be achived .

Hi

OOB it's not possible and not advised - you documents should not be e-mailed - they should be kept in SharePoint and you should send only the attachments. This way you can avoid multiple versions flying around and limit the traffic.

If you must send the e-mail with attachments do you want to do it automatically (during an approval process or other workflow) or on demand.
If on demand you need to write some custom code and for example add another position to the "send to" menu. If in a workflow then you can use a freee activity for SharePoint Designer - http://sharepointstuff.codeplex.com/
