“Browse” button in Internet Explorer 8 takes a long time to respond

We use efax to FAX documents, one of our computer is taking a very long time (5 min) to show document after selecting the “Browse” button in Internet Explorer 8. This does not happen when using Mozzilla on same computer with same logon profile.
I have cleaned all temp files, cookie, browsing history, restored advances settings,Enabled Active scripting, uninstalled and reinstalled Internet Explorer 8. None of this has helped.

Any suggestions other then using Mozzilla?

I would run this Microsoft Fix it's:
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/ie_performance_and_safety/en-us
http://support.microsoft.com/mats/ie_freezes_or_crashes/en-us
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737/en-us

I'm sure the first link will solve your problem. If not try the other two. Read exactly what the fixit's are doing.

NLITech--There is a good possibility one of the Updates caused the problem.
Run System Restore to a time before you installed the Updates.
If that solves the problem you will have to reinstall all the Updates.  This time do it one at a time to see which one causes the problem.

I appreciate your help, and look forward to trying the suggested solutions. The user has left for the day and I do not have the problem with my user profile. So I will not be able to try the solutions until Monday.

Thank you for your help. I did get a chance to try all of the suggestions, unfortunately none worked. Because I cannot reproduce the problem with my logon profile, I am going to delete her local profile and build a new one. I will let you know if that worked.
