Timeclock Plus
I am installing Timeclock plus 4.2 and everytime I go to start it once I have loaded everything from the disc I keep getting an error that says time clock plus could not be opened. Do you want to reconfigure your settings? When I click on yes something with the sql comes up and I hae tried every option. Any ideas what is stopping this program from opening?
Whats the Operating system that you are using? Why not install the latest version ? you can get it from Time Clock Plus support. This should solve your issue.

I am using Windows 7. What do you mean the latest version? The latest version of what? I just bought this one. I want to say it has something to do with the sql or something. There has to be something that I just need to change in the computer or something to make this work I just can't figure it out and looking for your help. I really wanted to get this going for the employees that are coming in for their shift today
right click on the shorcut and choose run as 'administrator' then try to configure SQL.

Usually the default admin is granted all the privileges when you install the database. I assume you are trying to use a different user to access the database who was not authorized. Glad you figured it out. You can ask the op's to close the question and refund the points.

To Betty44,

Even after following these instructions I often had trouble at login. What would happen is the WinRemote program was in my Startup programs so, on login it would run and fail, asking to reconfigure the database. I found that hte database was always fine and if I simply waited a few seconds before starting WinRemote it would always work. So, I created a very short .bat file that waits 60 seconds before starting WinRemote. Now it works fine.
